5 Canadian Airbnbs to Enhance your Summer

There are plenty of reasons to spend your time this summer in these 5 Canadian cities, but why spend your time and money in a hotel, when you can test out one of these beautiful homes, right in the city! Here are some of the best destinations in each city (including some very funky choices).


Vancouver:

Floating home on the Fraser-River- $81/Night

The specifics:

-2 bedrooms

-5-star rating on Airbnb

This home is built to float on the Fraser River in the Vancouver Marina. The owners of the property live on the second floor of the house, while the guests stay in the lower half. The home is close to transit and the airport, making for easy travel for the guests. It also has free parking on the premises, wifi, and laundry services. Georg, the homeowner, has a superior host rating and 95% of people have given it a 5-star rating. The minimum stay is 1 night. Check this place out if you want to funky stay in Downtown Vancouver.


Calgary:

The Bunk House (Mossleigh)- $83/night

The specifics:

While it isn’t located in Calgary, the Bunkhouse offers visitors a place to stay in the heart of the prairies in Mossleigh, Alberta. The Bunkhouse is newly renovated and features a living area, bedroom, fireplace, en-suite bathroom with a claw-foot tub, and even… horseback riding tours!!!! The owners of the property live in the main house, but the ranch and firepit, as well as parts of the main house, are open to the guests. In the Bunkhouse, there is a TV with a DVD player (no service-connected), heating, and essentials. Guests are welcome to come into the house to use the wifi and to enjoy a continental breakfast supplied by the owners! While it isn’t in Calgary, 92% of reviewers have given it a 5-star rating for the location. Plus, it’s only a 20-minute drive to the city!


Quebec City:

Place Des Arts (Loft)- $70/night

-5-star rating

Located in what used to be an Antique shop, the loft is located in the heart of Old Quebec, perfect for accessing all of the sights. The living room also contains a TV and library, perfect for relaxing after a long day. There is also a small courtyard that is accessible for the guests. You can also bring your pet, so you can include your furry friend in your travels too. This is perfect for someone who wants a modern touch in a city of 400 years old.

Toronto:

Plant Paradise (Loft)- $157/night

The Specifics:

-1 bedroom/ 6 beds

-5-star rating

-SWING

Featured on Kalyn Nicholson’s Staycation Video in Toronto, this loft is a plant lover’s paradise. The loft is located in a century-old building in the Distillery District, very close to the St. Lawrence Market, with plenty to do in the area. Other downtown activities are not too far away. It features a curved brick wall, over 50 plants, and a SWING. A REAL SWING. Gwyn, the owner, is a great host, with 100% of guests giving her a five-star rating.

Halifax

Private convenient suite by the Harbour- $45/night

This cozy convenient basement suite is located right near the harbour. It is near the Historical Hydrostone Market and multiple bus routes. This location is perfect for people who want to get up and explore Halifax all day. It has driveway parking, wifi and laundry for guests. It has a 90% five-star rating for location, making this the perfect location for your getaway!
